CASE STUDY
Community Health Centre
MHRC partnered with a community health centre to address their challenges related to leadership capacity to support staff with increased program and service delivery to a growing number of clients. The existing leadership model was leaving the team stretched thin and it was felt that they did not have the capabilities to meet and support current and future program changes.
The CEO wanted to address these challenges through HR capacity planning and and leadership structure redesign. Malcolm HR Consulting conducted an org review and assessment of current practices and structures, facilitated leadership sessions to gain feedback and input ensuring alignment and incorporation of their EDI and anti-oppression framework.
The client was provided with 3 org structure options taking into account funding and financial constraints, the level of readiness for change and a phased approach to implementing org reporting changes and new positions. The implementation of the chosen structure was supported by MHRC and involved creating new and updating existing executive level job descriptions.
